Costume Designer: Caroline B. Marx

Troy and Gabriella
Sharpay Evans (played by Ashley Tisdale)
Marx hints that Sharpay wears “all the hot colors for this coming season: cobalt blue, fuchsia and metallic.”

Marx describes Troy (Zac Efron) as a “young James Dean,” where he’s mostly dressed in “slim jeans and fitted T’s.”

Marx explains that ” Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) has an arc, and her style becomes more bohemian-influenced later in the film.”
Marx describes Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman), right, as “conservative with a feminine edge,” and Chad Danforth’s (Corbin Bleu) style is “jock based with a huge eco-friendly vibe”
Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel) dons a peach-colored suit for the prom, paired with a hat that Marx says is a “trend currently going off in Spain.” His date, Kelsi Nielsen (Olesya Rulin), is more “NYC artsy and vintage”

For the prom, Marx made sure “all the dresses on all the female dancers were knee length so you could see their legs/footwork.” “They also had what we coined the ‘twirlability factor’ to accentuate their dance moves.”
Marx is keeping quiet for the big spring musical,. “I can’t give any details without ruining the big surprise!”
